Canon's head office in Sydney had an aging fluorescent lighting system that was energy inefficient and expensive to maintain. Canon partnered with Lowas design team to implement a comprehensive lighting upgrade.



Objectives:


  • Reduce Energy Consumption: Installing energy efficient LED and controls to increase energy savings

  • Lower Maintenance Costs: eliminate the need for electricians to routinely replace fluorescent tubes

  • Enhanced Light Quality: specific focus on enhanced light quality, Colour Rendering Index (CRI), and Unified Glare Rating (UGR)

  • Modernised Aesthetics: The office was infused with a bright, uniform, and modern lighting scheme, enhancing the overall workspace ambiance.


Implementation Phase:


  • seamless Integration with AC Units: Our Engineering team worked to ensure the troffer air return system was calibrated to integrate smoothly with existing AC units. This helps maintain optimal air flow and HVAC efficiency, preventing any potential issues with air circulation.

  • Reduced Disruption: Lowas Design Team prioritised minimal disruption to Canon's operations. Meticulous planning and close collaboration ensured a smooth transition to the new system.

  • Energy Efficiency and Cost Savings: The LED troffers reduced energy consumption, resulting in      substantial cost savings and a significantly smaller carbon footprint for Canon.
